Born the 1st of December,
1913 in
Weatherford Texas, Mary Martin is most famous for her performances of
Peter Pan but she was also in several films in the 1940s including
Rhythm of the River,
Kiss the Boys Goodbye, and
Birth of the Blues. In
1957 she appeared on televison as
Annie Oakley in
Annie Get Your Gun and she was also a guest on
Love Boat and
Hardcastle and McCormick.
Mary Martin is also the mother of television star Larry Hagman. She died of cancer on November 3rd, 1990 in California.
