"There are as many kinds of
kisses as there are
people on the
earth, as there are
permutations of those people. No
two people kiss alike--no two people
fuck alike--but somehow the kiss is even more personal, more individualized than the fuck." --
Diane Di Prima
Book by Diane Di Prima, one of the few female beatniks I am aware of. The book basically is a fictional account of Di Prima's experiences in helping to create the Beat Movement.
I really really really like this book.
The first three chapters are totally sexual/sensual. Written in the first-person, her take on sex is different than anything I've read. Very cool. Especially considering that it was written in about 1950 in New York City.
