A small town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is know for its excellent dried fruit and sport climbing as well as hot springs, bars and coffee shops. Climbers usually stay at De Bos a barn-style backpackers with very reasonable rates. It can be reached by taking the N1 north from Cape Town to Worcester, then follow the signs to Robertson, Ashton and eventually Montagu. The crags are well maintained and under active development. The climate allows for climbing all year round although the summers can be scorching.
