Mundungus "Dung" Fletcher is a character in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Despite having a shady reputation of dealing with stolen merchandise and being morally ambiguous, he was a member of both the first and second Order of the Phoenix. His ability to get into places, acquire items, and to obtain information through his underworld associates made him useful, although he was typically looked down upon, especially by Severus Snape. Considering Mundungus was 5'4" tall, he did his best to act tough, but when things became dangerous he tended to scram, such as the Battle of the Seven Potters when he apparated and left Mad-Eye Moody alone, ending with Moody's death.
Mundungus was fiercely loyal to Albus Dumbledore, who had helped him get out of a difficult and dangerous trouble. He was banned from the Hog's Head Inn, Aberforth Dumbledore's establishment, and had to dress up as an old witch to sneak in to spy on the students discussing starting Dumbledore's Army.
Actor Andy Linden played the part of Mundungus in the movie versions.
