NewDeal Office is a complete windowing system and application suite targeted at (very) low-end computer systems. The package includes a word processor, spreadsheet, web browser, e-mail reader and more, all with the modest system requirements of a
286, 640k of RAM, 9MB of disk space, and the
MS-DOS operating system. The word processor and spreadsheet are stripped down but useful, and resemble their
Microsoft Office counterparts enough feel familiar. Unfortunately, none of the components have the ability to read or write the widely used MS Office file formats (
.doc,
.xls).
