A 1999 and 1970 movie about a married couple having problems, and falling in love again after several misfortunes. The tag line is "They fell in love 24 years ago... and in the next 24 hours, they'll remember why." On the IMDB rating of this movie was a 5.1 The movie stars Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn as the Clarks. After Henry Clark (Steve Martin) was fired from his job he heads to New York for the most important job interview of his life. His wife, which knows nothing of the firing, as a way to boost up their marriage, joins him on the trip to New York. Some of the misfortunes which happens to them in this movie are: Flight getting canceled, getting on the wrong train, getting arrested, getting high, mugged, losing all their money, and credit cards getting canceled. Compared to the original, this movie sucks.

The original film was made in 1970, written by Neil Simon and starring Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis as an Ohio couple who come to New York to see about his new job offer, and instead go through hell. The original was (IMHO) better than the remake not only because remakes usually don't work (see Psycho if you doubt me), but because I just feel that Lemmon does a better Everyman-at-the-end-of-his-rope than Martin does.
