A
rap duo from the dirty,
dirty south; more specifically,
hotlanta. Comprised of
Andre 3000 and
Big Boi, the group got its start in
1993 when it released its first song, "
Player's Ball", which made its way to the
top ot the
Billboard rap chart.
The next year, Andre and Big Bio released their first full-length
album,
Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, which went
platinum. The
fusion of Big Boi's playa
personality and Andre's thoughtful
demeanor went on to produce two more platinum albums,
ATLiens and
Aquemini. In 2000, they released
Stankonia, which put them in the
pop music scene with the song
Miss Jackson, and was also my
Christmas gift from my
ex-girlfriend.
