The U.S. Patent Office awarded patent number 6,368,227 to Steven Olson, age 7, with the help of his father, for the protection of a method of swinging on a swing.

The method requires the user, while seated, to pull alternately on one side of a swing's chain and then on the other's, while slowly introducing a forward-backward thrust. In this process, you can swing in an oval-shaped arc, as long as the side-to-side motion is greater than the forward-backward motion.

As with all Weird Patents, this one can be used with the written permission of the inventors... SO WATCH OUT!!!!
