The habitual pursuit of perfection.

Since this world isn't perfect, it is self-defeating.

Perfectionists are typically hard to please and can be excessively hard on themselves.

Perfectionism in the workplace can delay deadlines, cause unnecessary problems, or create beautiful code. It depends on the situation. Having high goals is one thing, setting them so they are unattainable is another thing.
"When I complain about me or about you, I am complaining about God's handiwork. I am saying that I know better than God."

Wow, I'd never thought of it that way. That really puts it all in perspective. I've an endless list of shortcomings, and those around me are almost as bad. I've spent my life kicking my own ass and the asses of others trying to get things done right. Meanwhile, the Good Lord sits up there, fat and lazy, not doing a damn thing to help out.

If it must be so, so be it; If God creates people who don't proofread, He is not worthy of worship and that's that.
