Pete Ross...The name some Superman readers never notice. Pete (as featured in the Series Smallville) is the childhood friend of one Clark Kent or as he's better known to the world: Superman. He was not (and I STRESS this) created for the show. He is an actual character from the Superman mythos. Pete grew up with Clark and eventually, after Clark leaves Smallville to see the world, marries young Miss Lana Lang. In current continuity Pete is working for the regime in power of DC Comic's America... President Lex Luthor. He is still married to Lana. They both know and share Clark's secret. In a recent series of Batman and Superman comics it is Vice President Pete who calls Superman to rescue their beloved Lana.
