In an Australian tourist town such as I live in, during a ski season (that is, between the two long weekends) buisnesses experience a large increase in sales.

Nature, however, seems to correct itself because after the season all buisnesses experience a slump so large that some are forced to take second jobs at Woolworths.

This year, 2001, the Post-Ski Season Flop has hit the whole town harder than usual. We always recover by Christmas, but things look fairly grim at the moment.

Hope things get better.
