Press Day is the day when a publication has to get everything finished so that it can be sent to the printer's. It is usually the most stressful day of the week/month/quarter, and can lead to stress, violence or even suicide. Press Day&is consequently the worst day for a Public Relations person to get in touch, as they will usually be greeted by an angry refusal, especially if they phone up merely to ask whether you have received an unrelated Press Release they sent via email.
