Also known as the gastroduodenal junction, this is where the stomach joins the duodenum. It is formed of a sphincter of muscle which opens to let food through every now and then.
Pyloric stenosis is an uncommon disease that some poor babies have where the pyloric sphincter becomes too tight and food cannot pass through. Correction of this condition usually requires surgical intervention.
