Rhone is one of the five main French rivers. It is running from Switzerland to Mediterranean sea.

The Rhone takes its source of the glacier of Furka in the Swiss Alps, in the Saint-Gothard mountains, to 1 753 m of altitude. It cross the Léman lake then run in France and are thrown by a delta in the Mediterranean (812 km length, including 281 in Switzerland). It is the most powerful of the French rivers, because its catchment area is consisted by abundantly sprinkled mountains of Furka.
