The fourth highest mountain in the Lake District, England, situated to the north of the market town of Keswick. Despite its vast height and bulk, it is a gently rolling mountain with very few craggy outcrops.

Skiddaw is isolated from the rest of the mountains in the Lake District, and consequently experiences extreme weather conditions. It isn't the sort of place you want to be in a storm.

Skid"daw` (?), n. Zool.
