record label, run by Mike Schulman, originating from
Silver Springs, MD, and now based in
Berkeley, CA. Their debut
vinyl offering was released in late 1989, and was a compilation 7" titled "What Kind Of
Heaven Do You Want?".
Responsible for launching the careers of several indie rock superstars, including Velocity Girl and Lilys, but now exists mainly as a vehicle for releasing records by The Aislers Set. Other recent releases include albums by 14 Iced Bears, KG (fr) and The Saturday People.
Slumberland has a sister label, the electronica imprint Dropbeat, which has released records by Downpour, Kit Clayton, Chessie and Timeblind.
