A dog's barking wakes up two children sleeping in a red-tinged, smoke-filled room.
BOY 1
Look! Smoke!
BOY 2
Let's get out of here!
He reaches for the doorknob, which burns his hand.
Owwwwwwwww!
Suddenly, a man in protective fire gear appears at the window.
MAN IN PROTECTIVE FIRE GEAR
Don't go out that door!
BOYS (in unison)
Barbeque!
BARBEQUE
You might let in poisonous gases! Stuff something under the
door! And stay low!
One of the boys grabs an ugly yellow checkered sweater and stuffs it under the door.
That way, you'll avoid the heat and gases that rise upward!
The boys escape through the window with Barbeque.
Remember, if a fire breaks out in your home, always test the door first!
Firetrucks arrive on the scene. Firemen enter the house while Barbeque delivers his
lecture.
If it's hot, find another exit or yell for help!
BOY 2
Now we know!
BARBEQUE
And knowing is half the battle!
