From the information I've gathered, Snoopstar seems to be Bertelsmanns answer to any problems that may arise if and when Napster is forced to close down.

According to the technology press, Snoopstar is based on a similar peer-to-peer architecture, and also has the ability to interface with iMesh, Gnutella and Napster networks to enable the exchange of music, video and other popular file formats. The companies logo, a smiling dog, is even similar to Napsters cat emblem. The product is (apparently) in beta testing stage at the moment, for more information interested parties should check www.snoopstar.com
