Frank Zappa's main band at age 22 (in 1963), all of whose other accomplishments and members seem to have faded into obscurity with the exception of Captain Beefheart's vocals for this ensemble, marking the beginning of a musical relationship which would grow and flourish as their respective careers did. Occasionally performed under the name The Omens.
