Of course there are many different systems that qualify blood type. For example, there are the ABO(H) system, the Rh factor, the Lewis System, the MNS System, the Duffy system, and so on. • smallpox, even though it may be totally eradicated
• staphlococci infections
• streptococci infections
• syphilis
• malaria

The research on the association between blood type and disease is recent and ongoing. Although there seems to be a correlation between many diseases and type A blood, there are many other factors to consider. Researchers are attempting to specifiy precisely which blood types are more susceptible to the diseases.

In the mean time, perhaps we should be a little nicer to the A blooded people that we know.
