A helicopter used extensively by the United States military. The primary mission of this aircraft is to fly soldiers and equipement into combat. The Black Hawk can be easily modified to carry weapons or to sling-load light vehicles. The Black Hawk family includes: EH-60A electronic warfare aircraft, MH-60K Special Operations aircraft, the VH-60 executive transport helicopter, the U.S. Air Force's HH-60G Pave Hawk, the U.S. Navy's Seahawk family of helicopters, and the U.S. Coast Guard's MH-60J Jayhawk for search and rescue.

Manufactured by Sikorsky, the US has been flying Black Hawks for over 25 years. There are currently about 1500 of these helicopters in use. Over 20 nations fly Black Hawks or their derivatives.
