Beautiful book by Thomas Pynchon about daughters missing mothers, ex-husbands missing ex-wives, mothers missing daughters, and getting half-dead Thatanoids to help you reverse the Death Touch so that you and the ninja grrl can figure out why Ronald Reagan took someone off the government payout prematurely. Also, watch out for those aliens that try to kidnap you from charter flights to Hawaii -- but a certain synthesized ukulele note will fix them just right.

Also the only Thomas Pynchon novel to even warrant the thought of a movie adaptation, since it has the straightest plot of any of his works.

OK, I lied. The book is about pot, television, and plate glass windows made of sugar.

We all suggest you read it.
