Wexford is a county in the province of
Leinster in south-eastern
Ireland - 900 square miles of green rolling hills, including the Wicklow Mountains, and 75 miles of beautiful beaches. It's got four main towns, Wexford,
Enniscorthy,
Gorey and
New Ross.
Wexford town is a sleepy pretty harbour town with narrow cobbled streets. It's a friendly place, with lots of typical Irish pubs. It gets a lot of visitors in summer who come for the beaches, Duncannon Fort, the old churches and the Opera Festival, internationally famous and held in October every year.
