A Kung Fu style originally developped to further muscular control and spiritual strength; considered to be one of the most beautiful of all Chinese styles, it emphasizes rapid footwork and evasive techniques

Legend has it that the style was originally developped by a monk who observed a fight between an ape and a white crane. The crane used it's long reach and precises counter-attacks to keep the ape at bay, preventing it from using it's superior strength.

In combat, the crane stylist avoids physical contact with his opponent, dodging instead of blocking, and using his superior footwork to put himself in a position to deliver a powerful long-range attack with impunity. If a blow fails, he will retreat rather than move into short range.
