A small University located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) has a reputation of being associated with arts and business programmes, although it does offer courses on many different topics including science, math and computing.

WLU used to be known as Waterloo Lutheran University. After it was no longer affiliated with the Lutheran Church it was named after Sir Wilfrid Laurier so that the school's initials could remain the same.

Often referred to as the "little high school down the street" by University of Waterloo students because it is only a couple of blocks away and has a relatively small enrollment.
