It's amazing how nine unified artists can create such spare and measured harmony; WGC pulls it off effortlessly.  Their style, termed "americana" by some, is a blend of folk and country--incorporating traditional country accoutrements such as the mandolin, viola and acoustic guitars.  Their songs are austere and forlorn and lead singer Robert Fisher provides a perfect voice to their downbeat themes.
