Italian confection created by frying globs of dough and rolling them around in sugar. The zeppoli is often served in "feasts", large gatherings held in closed off streets in which food, music and rockin good times are celebrated. Feasts are often held in New York City, especially areas with large concentrations of Italian Americans.
Zeppolis would be my last meal. I would bring zeppolis with me on a desert island. They are that good.
