Zizia is a genus of flowering plants in the carrot and parsnip family. Commonly known as "Alexanders," this genus was named after the German botanist Johann Baptist Ziz (1779–1829). Like other plants in the Apiaceae family, plants in this genus bear flowers on distinct umbels (umbrella-like inflorescences).
Notable species in the Zizia genus include The Golden Alexander (Zizia aurea) and the Heartleaf Alexander (Zizia aptera).
