Alternative Radio is a public affairs talk program broadcast on public radio stations in the US, Canada, Europe, South Africa, and Australia. It was started in 1986 by David Barsamian, and provides information and discussion on issues that the mainstream corporate media typically ignores and or distorts. The project is entirely independent, and is funded only by the sale of transcripts and recordings of programs. Speakers that have recently talked on the show include Noam Chomsky, Vandana Shiva, Ralph Nader, and Edward Herman.
