bioptics are either a pair of small
telescopes
fitted to the
glasses of a
visually impaired person,
or
glasses which are themselves
telescopic, to allow
driving for people with unusually poor
vision.
unfortunately, some
states do not consider
bioptics to be
analogus to glasses, and therefore
do not
licence people unless they can alrady drive
without them. those states include:
iowa, maine, missouri, montana,
north carolina, oklahoma, oregon,
pennsylvania, south carolina, utah,
west viriginia, and wisconsin.
biotpics are not covered in the regulations of
kansas and kentucky; legality in those
states is unknown.
