Saw this word used in a discussion of the internet and its similarity to an ecosphere. Cyberdiversity can be compared to biodiversity, which means multiple species or types of creatures. Cyberdiversity then, means differing types of software running on different types of hardware, and provides a level of robustness to the net. Another term for this might be heterogenous as opposed to homogenous, or different as opposed to same.
