"Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword." - Matt. 26:52
Also, a game from Treyarch, published by Interplay. Released in 1998.
The game is fairly interesting in concept: The main part of the game involves sword fighting, as the name suggests, but the it's probably the first game that actually involves swordplay.
It has two control modes: "Arcade" mode and VSIM mode. In arcade mode, Player just pushes keypad and can produce "canned" slashes and such. In VSIM mode, it's possible to use joystick to swing the sword. Think of the joystick as the lead character's hand, and guide the hand...
The game also modeled hit locations - good slash could cut opponent's legs off, for example...
The main point of the game is the Quest (in which a knight rescues his beloved from bla bla bla), but it also features arenas in which you can pick the arena type and opponents, and tournament for series of challenges.
