A digram is a two-letter couplet.  For example, the word "abacab" contains the digrams "ab", "ba", "ac", and "ca".  Such items are the tools of cyptographers who use statistical regularity of language to break codes.

Di"gram (?), n. [Gr. = twice + letter.]
