The
Fife summer holiday. The fair fornight is usually the last two weeks of
July.
It used to be, that during this time, everything in Fife just stopped, and all the Fifers went elsewhere, where things were hopefully still going. But in these days of multinationalism, companies are expected to keep going all year round, so not everyone gets the fair off, and instead, people's holidays are staggered.
