"From the Top" is a public radio show and non-profit organization that devotes its airtime to young classical musicians in hopes of encouraging the development of youth through music. "From the Top" is produced in association with WGBH Radio Boston and the New England Conservatory of Music.

First broadcasting in January of 2000, "From the Top" has continued to present 5 young performers or ensembles each week whose performances are combined with interviews, sketches, and musical games. Today it is broadcast 52 weeks a year by over 240 stations nationwide.

The performers on "From the Top" are selected from a nationwide talent search headed by Tom Vignieri. The shows are taped in front of a live audience in performance centers such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall. Hosted by Christopher O'Reily, "From the Top" has seen guest artists such as Isaac Stern, Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer and Mark O'Connor.
