A lovely flower found at higher elevations. Has a root that can be eaten raw. Looks like garlic and tastes peppery.
Erythronium grandiflorum, a member of the family Liliaceae, aka Dog-toothed violet. Commonly found from Colorado and Montana up to British Columbia.
