Electronically stored text with no unusual
control characters,
markup elements or other
hidden items that are designed to change the
appearance of the text when viewed. It may include newline characters. The idea being that the text can be loaded into
any standard editor and displayed correctly.
This means plain text will not contain settings such as font sizes, colour information or tables.
