Warheads came out when I was in
fifth grade. They were so so sour they were
dangerous. My mother said they were
self-destructive. She really worried that it would start with
Warheads and end in my watery grave, a snippet of a broken
bungee cord at my ankle.
Lemonheads never got old.
Sour patch kids, and their many grocery-store bin imitators, were the
classic element. Always will be.
