Generic term for a sushi restaurant (aka kaitenzushi or "revolving sushi") that displays its wares on a constantly moving conveyor belt. These establishments are often found near Japanese train stations.

After being seated, one is free to choose the sushi that passes on the belt. Pricing is calculated by a system of coloured plates, which are counted up when the meal is complete.

In Japan, this can make for a very inexpensive meal. In Australia, this can make for a very expensive meal.
