Frequently found in
offices and
commercial building, a suspended
ceiling is simply a
grid framework which contains
numerous ceiling tiles, which may be made of
fiberglass,
plastic, or pretty much any substance. Suspended ceilings are handy for running cabling and ducting, because
maintanence on such is simplified by the
fact that
tiles are
removeable.
For
situations where lots of
heavy wiring is required, a
raised floor is probably a better
choice, as running
wiring through suspended ceilings is a
royal pain in the ass.
