A Chinese word which means "sky" literally, but also "heaven," "harmony", and "nature."
It was used extensively by
Confucius and other ancient
Chinese philosophers such as
Chuang Tzu,
Hzun Tzu, and
Mencius to refer to the
source of the
natural/
social order.
Often used as in "Heaven give me strength," "Heaven ordains me to rule," or "Heaven forbid."
