The Land of Oz is an alternate title for The Marvelous Land of Oz, the second Oz book written by L. Frank Baum. The book has been published in several editions under the different titles since it came out in 1907, and its complete text has been noded with a table of contents under the longer version of the name.

It deals with Ozma, the hereditary ruler of Oz. Ozma has been missing for some time, which is why in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (aka The Wizard of Oz) the Wizard was ruling Oz, and was able to leave the Scarecrow in his place when he left Oz. Tip, a young boy being raised by the witch Mombi, decides to run away from home, and eventually gets caught up in an attempted coup d'etat by General Jinjur and her army of women.

A Google search reveals that "Land of Oz" also seems to be the name of numerous stores, whose web pages indicate that this name is usually applied to stores that sell dolls, collectibles of various types, and other non-necessities of life.
