making overly grandiose statements is fun
anyway
this is based on this basic
theory of all
human behavior
everybody
likes
feeling
superior
if a teaching session is one in which students are constantly made to feel like they ve accomplished something
like they ve gained something
like they are now more superior than before
like they have something to be proud of
a session in which they are always getting an ego boost
then they will grow to love that teaching session
if you can manage to get them to associate the same feeling with learning in general
then they will become the type of person who loves to learn
on the other hand
if the student is always made to feel like they are put on the spot
that they have the potential to be embarrassed
to feel inferior
to feel worse coming out of the class than going in
then they will dread the teaching session
and maybe even learning in general
