A type of screwdriver trademarked by Textron. It has a star shaped end with six points which is designed so that it makes things with Torx screws almost impossible to turn with standard screwdrivers. Sizes of Torx screwdrivers are designated by the letter T followed by a number. For example, the Torx screwdriver I need to open my TI-89 calculator is a T6. The larger the number, the larger the tip of the screwdriver.

Tamper resistant torx screws are also available that put a raised area in the center of the star, preventing regular torx screwdrivers from being inserted. Additionally, the a new Torx Plus has been created by Textron.
