Stoneware is made of highly dense clay that is fired starting at 2400 degrees for a whopping 20 to 30 hours. The high temperature and long firing time result in a product that is non-porous. Even a crack in the glaze will not stain the dinnerware because the clay is not absorbent. Stoneware is very chip-resistant and holds up well in the dishwasher.

As long as it is not subjected to sudden temperature changes, stoneware can be used in the oven, on the table or in the freezer. It also happens to be microwave safe. For durability, versatility and color, stoneware can’t be beat.
