Self-deprecating protagonistress of
Charles Dickens' (IMHO) greatest novel,
Bleak House, Ms. Summerson is one of the author's most relatable creations -- verily, one of Literature's most relatable -- and certainly his most fully-realized, what with the depth and feeling he manages to portray.
Read this book. Then read ten more of his novels, and try to tell me that he hasn't the greatest command over the English language of any writer since Shakespeare.
