The great Sid Sackson is probably best known as the creator of the classic board game Acquire (currently published by Avalon Hill) and the dice game Can't Stop among many other classic games. He published about 50 games, wrote several books of games and puzzles (most notably, A Gamut of Games), and created over 500 games throughout his lifetime. Mr. Sackson died November 6, 2002. He requested that he have no funeral and no eulogies be given.

Sid was proud owner of the world's largest collection of games, which was very unfortunately auctioned off by the box shortly after his death to pay for the medical expenses that his family owed. It was intended that only the games that were made by other inventors would be sold, but unfortunately the entire collection was auctioned off, including many prototypes and notes created by Mr. Sackson himself.
