Laphroaig is a
malt whisky from
Islay,
Scotland. It bears a certain resemblance to
Liquid Smoke; while the flavor of any
Scotch contains a touch of
peat smoke, Laphroaig is practically overwhelmed with it.
Some seem to find this state of affairs just perfect.
(Incidentally, it's pronounced la-froyg. Not that that helps if you don't know how to pronounce "la-froyg" ....)
