Released in 1950, this Disney cartoon prefigured modern concerns over road rage with a Jekyll-and-Hyde morality play. When he gets behind the wheel of his automobile, mild-mannered Mr. Walker (played by Goofy) is transformed into snarling, bristling Mr. Wheeler. Ever since its release, Motor Mania has been a popular fixture of driver education classes: an illustration not only of bad driving, but also of the way otherwise pleasant people can turn into complete jerks on the road.
