Located in Australia, aprox. 450 kilometers north of Adelaide. Some times refered to as 'The Moon'.

Moonarie is actualy part of Wilpena Pound, a natural formation of a valley ringed with a range of hills. On the outside face of these hills, tall cliff faces can be found, rangeing from 10 meteres to 200+ meters tall. Known as the best rock climbing area in South Australia.

Climbing activity started there back in the lats 60's. These days, many good routes are still to be repeated, and there is plaenty of spare rock to put up new climbs on. Due to its distance form the capital city, it gets visitors infrequently, but thoes that do go are usualy rewarded peace, quiet and like minded people for the effort of getting there.

I will update this node further!
